Creating video content on a budget

One of the most staggering statistics for Marketers in 2015.

Half, probably more in fact by now, of all content viewed on a mobile devices is video.

So potentially, if your company is not producing video content, you are missing out on 50% of your target market. Scary.

And according to Cisco by 2017, video will account for 69% of all consumer internet traffic. Scarier.

But creating video content is costly and time consuming – right?

Wrong. Of course you can spend thousands on creating high quality, finely tuned professional looking content but there are now options for every budget.

The evolution of smartphone cameras means content can be created at reasonably high quality and shared instantly. GoPro® action cameras are also widely used as a relatively low cost option for shooting shareable content.

The car company Bentley shot the below video on an iPhone and edited it on an iPad:

AIB used a smartphone in this 30 second TV ad placement promoting their mobile banking app:

And my personal favourite is from GoPro® who used their Hero4 camera to create this excellent video:

These are just a few examples but they show what can be achieved. Sharing photos captured on mobile devices has been the norm for some time – now its time for video.
